“Queer Post-Cinema” views queer cinema from the perspectiveof current reflections on the relationship between cinematicdispositifs and the digital media discussed under the heading ofpost-cinema. Yet queer post-cinema also invents, as AstridDeuber-Mankovsky will argue with Gilles Deleuze, a newresistance in the time of ubiquitous digitalization.

Astrid Deuber-Mankowsky is the current Max Kade Visting Professor at theDepartment of German at Yale. She is Professor Emerita of Media Studies and GenderStudies at the Ruhr University Bochum. She was a visiting professor at the UniversitéParis VII (2007) and at Columbia (2012, 2017), Berkeley (2022), Northwestern (2023)and Johns Hopkins University (2024). She is also an associate member of the ICI Berlinand spokesperson of the scientific advisory board of the German Historical Museum. Her many books focus on topics in critical theory, feminist and queer theory, and philosophy of media and technology.
