GERMAN READING/TRANSLATION EXAM
(for graduate stduents who must fulfill a foreign language requirement)

Please bring a hardcopy dictionary.
The exam consists of two passages in German to be translated into idiomatic English. The two passages are usually taken from different disciplines (history, literature, sociology, art, culture). A detailed description and sample texts can be found at http://german.yale.edu/translation-exam
