Karoline Kiefel
Karoline Kiefel holds a PhD in Germanic Studies from the University of Texas at Austin and a teaching degree from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. She has developed and taught German language and culture courses at various institutions in the U.S. as well as in Germany. Prior to joining Yale, she worked as a coordinator for German courses at a language center at Paderborn University in Germany, as an assistant instructor at the University of Texas at Austin, and as an adjunct lecturer as well as a teaching fellow at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Her research interests include second language motivation, second language strategies, and virtual exchange programs.
