Bio

Kunning Zhang works on the relationship between literature and moral-philosophical discourses of the eighteenth and nineteenth century, especially in the Age of Goethe. She is also pursuing an interest in German-language exile literature (1933-1945). Kunning was an undergraduate at Chongqing University, where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in 2022. She is currently a graduate student at Sun Yat-sen University and will pursue full-time research as a Visiting Student in the German Department at Yale from October 2024 to May 2025.
